CeraWall is an innovative wall drainage system for level-access showers, which Dallmer first showcased at ISH. Now CeraWall S has been honoured with the Good Design Award 2013, and almost simultaneously with the iF design award 2014.

It combines the aesthetics of front-of-wall linear drainage with the reliability and functionality of proven CeraDrain technology. The modular system comes in two versions. The award-winning version CeraWall S is the combination of a drain body with a drain channel, while CeraWall P is combined with a virtually invisible drain profile. Both channel and profile are positioned completely above the bonded waterproofing.

Each bathroom fitting is part of the overall design and CeraWall highlights the elegant side of shower drainage. Where wall and floor meet, a slim 54 mm stainless steel channel ensures the reliable flow of water over a gentle slope into the underlying drain body. Installed front-of-wall, the channel is discreet and restrained. The material, the unique design and the precision craftsmanship set very distinct accents, while the elegant bare metal gives the shower area a visually striking finish. Even large-format tiles can be fitted up to the wall without the need for sloped side sections.

The Good Design Award (USA) is widely acknowledged as one of the oldest and most prestigious awards for design excellence worldwide. Founded in 1950 by Edgar Kaufmann, the award is awarded each year to sophisticated and innovative designs. Founder, organiser and host of the award program is the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design. The international jury comprises professionals of the design and art scene, company representatives and diplomats.

For 60 years, the iF Design Award has been a recognised brand for design excellence. As a product design award, it reflects current trends in industrial product development and honours outstanding achievements and results. CeraWall S received its award in the category "Bathroom and Wellness".

Both design awards are far more than just awards for aesthetically pleasing designs; they are also very much an acknowledgement of the technical qualities of the products. Assessment by the international juries includes level of innovation, concept, material, design, craftsmanship, functionality, value to users, reliability and ergonomics.

In short: The current awards confirm once again the quality of the product development at Dallmer. CeraWall S is quite simply "state of the art", both aesthetically and technically.
