Open and communicative
Dallmer, a family-owned company based in Arnsberg, has expanded its premises for the fifth time. Due to ongoing growth, the company regularly requires additional space for employees and machines. The first floor of the new Dallmer building is 700 m2 in size and houses various offices for administration. Part of the ground floor, which covers an area of 500 m2 in total, is dedicated to the production of modern shower channels. The new building was constructed on the site of a former warehouse.
Local architects wellie architekten partner were responsible for designing and planning the shell of the building. The interior design was completed by Sabine Keggenhoff from Keggenhoff + Partner. Throughout the entire building, a special focus was placed on creating a pleasant work atmosphere and dedicated communication areas. Ceiling-to-floor windows underscore the open character of the building. In its brief, Dallmer requested a timeless architectural design which would retain its value and reflect the high quality of the products manufactured by the company. New areas were created to make internal communication faster and easier and to promote interaction between employees. These include a new outdoor seating area which not only provides a quiet place to sit, but also a pleasant atmosphere for chatting and discussing work matters.
The extension to the Arnsberg premises of drainage expert Dallmer was prompted by the acquisition of new machines to upgrade production. At the same time, the sales & marketing department required more space after recruiting new employees to cater to the high demand for the company's products. “We've juggled things around. Virtually every department now has a new office,” reports Yvonne Dallmer, CEO of Dallmer GmbH + Co. KG. The move was strategically planned and organised in several stages. All departments have now moved into their new offices and the company is able to extract maximum benefit from its newly created communication areas.
